Patience is not something I obtain

So I know ya'll know I ordered the Morphe custom palette, well I finally received a shipment confirmed email! Praise Jesus.

Not only am I getting that this Wednesday, I'm also getting tempered glass in the mail as well! I heard a story about how one of my boyfriend's friends had tempered glass on his iPhone and his phone went under the tire of a car, A CAR, and the tempered glass shattered but his phone was minimally damaged! Just an itsy bitsy crack on the corner. Which was just insane for me to hear, so I obviously had to try it out for myself. I ordered two different sets for my phone in mirrored colors so I'm pretty pumped about those. I bought the colored ones because if I'm not having a cutsey case on, I want some type of colored "bling" on my phone. I'm excited to not have to worry about a case either! I'm done rambling,  I'll make a post about my review of both the Morphe palette and the tempered glass protectors, too! Stay posted! Xo - d

Give me MORphe

Okay so this is definitely just a geeking-out post because I just ordered my custom palette yesterday and I haven't even gotten the processed email yet but I am so so stoked to get it in the mail.

Basically on Morphe you can go to their Z Palettes tab and pick which size and what style you want (if you didn't know, Z Palettes are containers for make up with a clear covering. Kind of like a regular eyeshadow palette but used for more make up than just eyeshadow and if my run on sentence didn't make sense just go check it out.) There's small (holds 9), medium (holds 16) and large (holds 28). Then once you've picked out your Z Palette and know how much you're in for, you go to their eyeshadows which by review are MEGA pigmented and equal to MAC eyeshadows but they're only ~ wait for it ~ two dollars! Normally I'm a firm believer in "You get what you pay for" and although I pride myself in bargain shopping, it's rare you can bargain makeup quality.

So basically what I'm saying is you can get a custom 16 shade palette for around 50 dollars (which includes shipping.)

I'm giddy and when I get that box in the mail it'll be makeup Christmas. I'll update when it comes in!

Writing My Own Vows

"Why is it that we are willing to write our own vows but not our own rules?" - Sex in the City
For the first time about a week ago (breaks into song) I stumbled upon Sex in the City. I truly don't know if it was the first or second one, if I'm not mistaken there are only two movies and series...right? Anyway, I had never seen it before but had only heard good things. I didn't get to watch the entire movie but I did get to see a good portion of the ending and I loved what I got to see! I adore the idea that four girls grew up in the city and fell in love with their lives and each other all while discovering new bits and pieces of themselves and the area around them.

This quote when spoken, I immediately wrote it down in my notes to write some commentary on it for you guys. Simply because the second I heard it I thought to myself YES You're totally right! WHY do people do this?! Not writing your vows in your wedding it kind of frowned upon and not very common so why is writing your own rules so uncommon? Who's telling you no? Who's stopping you from saving up money and going to Australia or opening your own store or figuring out if you can paint! Only you! You're stopping yourself of seeing what you're capable of and it drives me absolutely c r a z y to see someone overflowing with potential and not acting on any of it!

You are so special and capable of so much. If you want to do something, do it. Don't think about what people will think of you, just do it. If you're living to please everyone else but yourself, you'll end up not ever succeeding in the path to happiness. Why would you want to be the reason you're not happy?

App-les of my phone

I think everyone now-a-days lives on their phone and quite honestly, if you have a mini computer in your pocket, why wouldn't you use it to it's full advantage?
I have some of the basics on my phone that really I think a large majority of people have but these are my favorites!

Twitter is pretty self explanatory! Although I do follow a handful of people I know, I really use Twitter as my own personal magazine. I have every famous person I love to keep up with, models, photographers, YouTubers, Bloggers and Magazines all down my feed.

When Snapchat introduced the "story" option, I fell even more in love with the app. The explore side where I can quickly read the highlight articles from all of my favorite magazines is a plus too! It's all around just a lot of fun.

Pinterest is my life. You can tell by the amount of pins you'll find on each of my boards.

I spend an unhealthy amount of time on Youtube. Whether it's Jaclyn Hill, Carli Bybel or Cosmopolitan - I'm on at least twice a day.

"I love picstitch!" - Everyone in the world. Well, I love photogrid! It's all free, a million and one different ways to put your photos, and even more additional options like stickers, filters and text. This is my go-to photo app.

Okay let's be real, who was surprised? The Sephora App gets way too much attention from me. I live close to one so I very rarely order online unless I can't find a product in stores. I have close to 170 items in my beauty bag and it's the first app I open when I'm bored so I'm positive my beauty bag will continue to grow. Not only am I obsessed because of the simple, obvious fact that it's makeup but because if you buy a n y t h i n g in your beauty bag, your app will show what you have purchased in stores or online - it's actually genius and makes me feel accomplished. (Doesn't everyone feel accomplished when they buy new makeup?)

Flixster is opened at least once a week. My boyfriend and I are movie fanatics and this app just makes it super easy. It shows you what movie theatres are closest to you, saves your most visited movie theatres, shows showtimes for weeks out and lets you buy your tickets right from your phone. Honestly, it's much faster and easier than googling what's playing at every single theatre near you.

Okay so this one is kind of funny to me because I bought my boyfriend a GoPro and quite possibly everything that you could buy with it and I think I want to use it more than he does (Not true, he's so attached to it I can't pry it away from him) but when I get the opportunity, I steal it. I think this app is so awesome, it really is the easiest app to get your pictures and videos on your phone so you can share from there. Go GoPro for being all around awesome.

That's all of them! (You forgot Instagram D! No, I'm not a massive fan of Instagram, I just post and get off usually. A lot like my Twitter, it's just famous people, bloggers and YouTubers!) I hope you enjoyed this post! You'll hear from me soon. :) Have a great day thanks for viewing!

Memorial Day!

Yay Memorial Day Weekend! Just kidding, I work all weekend but it's fine because I have Memorial Day off (not required where I work) so I'm happy that I get to spend time with my Boyfriend's family and my family. :)
If you don't know Pinterest is my life and I will most likely refer to it over and over again until you hate hearing about it BUT until then here are my list and links to my favorite, easy to make Memorial Day themed foods! Enjoy!

1) Oreo Pops
My Boyfriend is an oreo fanatic! So clearly these are on my list of yummies. :)
Memorial Day Food And Crafts - Dream Book Design

2) Firework Pasta Salad
I am in love with this pasta, always have been always will be. It's a must to add to your BBQ. Great mixture of flavors and absolutely delicious on a hot day by the pool with your loved ones.
I made this Fireworks Pasta Salad for our Memorial Day BBQ, only I made it without the fire. I loved it! I still added some cayenne for flavor and I recommend using the noodle size (for me it makes it just a little bit nicer). Making this hot would be amazing. Keeping this recipe for future big cookouts!

3) Fruit Flag Pizza
Okay I don't know about you but I don't want heavy sweets on a hot day spent outside, especially by the pool. Makes you feel sluggish and not very refreshed. This isn't Thanksgiving ya'll. So my personal suggestion? Fruit Flag Pizza. Portable, sweet enough to kick out your sweet tooth and you can get more refreshing than fruit! Plus, look how pretty!

4) Cheesecake Strawberries
Okay if anyone asked me what Heaven in a food is, it's these. They're so delicious and are absolutely a fan favorite. I think I'll make these for my celebration too! Super easy, huge hit.

5) Pepperoni Pinwheel Pizzas
Um yes please! Men love their pizza and this presentation is quick, easy and loved by all (that love pizza of course) I like to roll cheese and pepperoni's and dip them in sauce! Mix it up, but this link is one way to do it. Also, you can always get creative and make veggie pinwheels or meat lovers!

6) Layered Drinks
I'm not a huge drinker, I'm definitely not a drunk-to-party person but I can enjoy these fruity drinks on a hot Summer's day. They're so pretty, who wouldn't want to try them!

7) BBQ Kebobs
Last but definitely not least, the main contender! BBQ Chicken. Oh. My. Gosh. I love BBQ chicken with my whole heart. All American Girl and my favorite food is BBQ Chicken...go figure. This recipe is delish and what has bacon, is worth trying!
The Best BBQ Chicken Kebabs Recipe ever! They have a cool way of sneaking bacon on these kebabs!

Enjoy your long weekend and eat some great food while celebrating and remembering the fallen. 'Merica.

Don't buy a Google Chromebook

I didn't want to post all that negative stuff on my blog, but the reason you haven't seen any Disney Video is because my Chromebook doesn't let me do anything.

I've tried numerous different ways to even begin to edit this video footage and I can't even do that much! So I'm really sorry but you'll most likely not see any Disney (Or any video for that matter) while I have this computer.

That saddens me to an extreme amount but until I can buy a new computer, I won't be able to share with you some of the things I had planned. I'll continue with posting blogs though! Hope you have stayed around through this dry season for my postings!

UPDATE: I recently found blogger lets me take video from my phone so thankfully for flipagram you can see some of the footage and pictures from our vacation!

PU

I'm dying at how "Personal Update" turned into "PU"
It's hilarious and childish so I'm obvi keeping it!

ANYWAY, I have come upon so many issues I'm having with keeping up with this blog and posting every single day. Some weeks I'll have all seven days ready to be posted and other weeks I have to half try to put out a post which makes me feel like a bad blogger! SO instead of the day to day at a specific time type of thing, I'm going to post whenever I want whenever I want! So if I'm feeling super inspired or goofy I can post when most convenient for me. I do promise to at LEAST post three times a week. So please please keep checking in!

Annnyyyvey, enough with the blog apologies! Super fun stuff happening in my life! That I'm going to number so I don't end up rambling (Let's be real, my actual day job.)

ONE! I have a massive massive massive obsession with make up, it gets me more giddy than Candice Swanepoel posting a new picture (kind of, almost.) And I have been striving for a BA in Graphic Design so I can strive towards my dream of being the Head Editor and Chief and a magazine. I love telling people all about this because it's what I'm passionate about but when I told my friends about it, they said "Why don't you go into make up? You're really good at it." WELL even though we are not chums anymore, they were gettin' somewhere. Therefore, no, I am not giving up on my design field but I am going to side-project go into cosmetology as well! Which is super exciting to me and all around has made the list of life goals.

TWO! I'm going back to church! I love church, always have always will. I feel it generally makes me a better, happier person. I know a lot of people would disagree, have a lot of things to say about religion good and bad BUT it's something that works for me and has always been near and dear to my heart. I find a lot of insight from attending and like I said, makes me feel lighter and happier. (Go God.)

THREE! YES I went to Disney! Where's the Disney video D?! I know, I know, it is still not up but I will be working on it basically ALL DAY tomorrow and Tuesday. So for sure, by Wednesday. Can't wait for ya'll to see. But on top of that, I'm going to add a tab up on the top next to my social and favorites tab called "Linked" because I'm going to start making YouTube videos for you all to watch on whatever I feel like filming (beauty, Pinterest aka my life, reviews, cooking, the randomness that is me) for that segment! Which I'm SUPER STOKED ABOUT! That you will only be able to view from my blog, through the links given. Which is why it's going to be called "Linked."

La dee da, that's enough from me. You'll hear from me soon thank you so much for reading. Hope you are having a fantastic day!

Hardships

Do you know what's really hard? Forgiving people that don't say they're sorry. It's devastatingly difficult but it's one of the most important things you have to do.
I used to be an awful person and I had awful friends - wasn't just them, I encouraged it. And when I changed and they didn't, I was appalled at their behavior and heartbroken that people I used to hold so near to my heart, no longer loved to be around me. Instead, they avoided eye contact but made me the ragging topic of the night.
My point is, everyone gets back stabbed. Everyone loses friends. Everyone experiences the loss of a loved one - whether by death or by growth. But not everyone experiences growth, not everyone is so forgiving and not everyone feels they owe an apology.
But it's not fair to yourself to let that hover over your head and weigh down on your shoulders. Learn to forgive the people that have hurt you before they say sorry, even though they might never speak it. Even if they're on bad terms with you in their head, doesn't mean you have to reflect the negativity towards them. It may anger you, it may hurt like hell, it may bring you to tears that no one truly knows the real you, the nicer you, right now. But right now is constantly changing, right now is consistently becoming a new moment and right now can be when you forgive someone for hurting you. I'm not telling you to forget, but please, don't dwell. Take a deep breath and let it all out. You'll be surprised how much lighter you feel.

I sit on dogs

I have been dog sitting for the last week and a half, although I miss my bed, family and boyfriend - staying in places I dream of living in someday - makes it quite tolerable. I would love to have a brilliant reason as to why I haven't been blogging but the truth is - life has sucked the past couple of days but that's okay because I'm going to DISNEY!

I know I know, so what D, it's just Disney. But I have grown up three hours away and have never gone before. So my excitement is through the rough. My divine boyf is bringing me for my birthday for a handful of days so I will be posting a video of our adventures in Orlando once we get back.

But no worries, in the mean time I'll make some scheduled posts so I'm still keeping up with you all (unlike I have been lately) love you all, thanks so much for continuing to check in even though I've been a bad daily blogger. You're all the best xo

Product Review: BH Haul

I can't say I've always been impressed with bh cosmetics. I was told about them a couple of months ago, looked around the site and was not impressed. In my head, cheap make up means bad quality and their make up is as cheap as it gets! So, I was annoyingly prissy and didn't give them a second thought.

I watch a lot of Youtubers that do make up tutorials and even though sometimes they do post where they got the item, more often than not, they don't. So I was overjoyed when I finally figured out who the creator of the blush palette I had been wanting for SO LONG, but, to my surprise, it was bh cosmetics.

Surprised with my discovery, I decided to give bh cosmetic's website another look. I ended up with a bag full of stuff I couldn't wait to try. (I was tracking my order every day - quick shipping!)

So this is a review of the items I bought - I hope you enjoy! :)

This is the professional blush palette that I was so desperate for! As you can see it comes with a ton of different blushes which is perfect to mix up your looks and being able to keep the color sets you come up with. There are more than one of these with different shades (I'll be buying that one too.) Not only are the pigmented but they're true to shade as well. I truly was not expecting to like this palette as much as I do. I wouldn't say it's my go to blush but they definitely broadened my blush collection and helped me add some colors that I couldn't find the right shade of. Overall, it's worth the $8.50 it costs. (Insane, I know.) Buy them here and here

I am going to tell you right now, I had no desire to buy this palette but certain colors stuck out to me that I wanted to try out (i.e. aphrodite, mars, moon, pluto and sun.) So far, I'm not too thrilled with this palette. Althought the colors look pretty, they aren't all that pigmented and they don't come out looking anything like the color you think you'll be getting. The top left although orangey/gold is actually baby pink.  Aprodite is more of a faint red/pink and the moon has purple undertones - so you end up looking like you used a lilac. I do like the palette, I'll continue to use it but not when I have a specific color in mind because with this one, I'll never really know what I'm getting until I get used to what the colors actually look like. If you'd like, you can buy it here
I used to be super against cream based color palettes but figuring this one was so cheap, I felt as if it wasn't that big of a risk to go ahead and buy it. I still stand by my previous opinion of cream based contour - makes my skin oily and I feel too cake-ish. I'm on the search for the perfect cream palette for my skin type! It covers well so I think maybe if you have dry skin and like a heavier coverage option, this would be a really good palette for you. I am not in need of a lot of coverage, I like a lighter option for my skin. It's really smooth and a great dark spot/acne cover. I was originally drawn into the color options it has available. Not a lot of palettes will have that type of color variety. I do think it's a good buy, but if you have oily skin, know how to do your make up so it doesn't cake on and use a good base and setting powder, it'll work out just fine. Buy it here
I was pleasantly surprised by these brushes. I really like the feel of them and they're really easy to use. I would say they're a good traveling type of brush as well. They work just as well as some of my higher end brushes and they weren't even close to the price. They're really great blending brushes and I use these more than my previous brush sets when it comes to blending my powders and liquid bases. I would honestly compare them to sigma brushes. Great buy - go buy them here here
You need this brush. I refuse to use any other brush for my foundation &/or bb cream. It leaves a flawless finish and is my new go-to brush. I couldn't be happier with his buy. It's a lot like the Mac brush but is said to shed less (if at all!) Mine hasn't shed at all yet but there are some reviews on it shedding (maybe people can't take care of their brushes?) the bristles are perfect because the liquid foundation doesnt sink in and the powder sits right on the tips. Besides, 45 dollars or 6.50? You pick! Buy it here
Last but not least, Wild Child Baked Eyeshadow Palette! I saved this one for last because there's not a single thing wrong with it. It's really pigmented, easy to blend and I was drawn in by the great array of colors. It's such an easy palette to mix with each other and with it being baked, it's the perfect amount of shimmer for your day-to-day looks. I love the neutrals and the plumbs. Has a very smooth application and blends well. I would definitely recommend this palette. Buy it here

Well, that's all! I know it was a smaller haul but I hope you enjoyed it! Let me know which products are your favorites and whether or not they worked for you! I'd love to hear back from you all.
Have a great day xo

Destination Dreamin'

Listing the reasons to go to: Paris
  1. 1.  It's absolutely stunning
  2.                                                    2.  Have you seen their food?
  3.                                                  Not to mention the quality of macarons from Paris....                                             Did I mention the museums?                                             Lastly, but certainly not all, if you're not in love with the French language, I couldn't understand why.
    Definitely on my bucketlist.

Excuse me, I need an explanation.

Just recently it hit me that people feel entitled to recieve an explanation about every choice/action you make in regards to your life/decisions. And it's kind of absurd if you ask me.
Since when it it acceptable to question someone elses decision making? Or judge their sense of judgement?
Yes, I understand in certain scenarios that it is very important to intervene and try to smooth out bad decisions.
But since when is a bad decision the choice to be spontaneous? or try something new? (I'm not talking about becomming a prostitute or picking up drugs for a new pass time) but I firmly believe that new experiences are good for the soul. Hiking up a mountain in a different state to see the view, planning a weekend get-a-way last minute with your girls or saving up to fly out to a state you've never been to just for dinner and exploring for the day - what could be more spontaneous and refreshing than that?

Now you don't have to be that drastic in your endeavors, but why not drive to a city close by that you've never explored or get out of your comfort zone and go somewhere you'd never think twice about.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and when you're looking, you'll find it.
Learn to be comfortable in uncomfortable situations. Too many people find discomfort in new things, stick to the old and fear the upcoming. Why are you holding back from something that could potentially be your new favorite memory.

leap my lovelies. xo

Spend Spend Spend

Like any girl, I am obsessed with spending money.
Most girls would say they have a shopping problem and they have too many shoes. Which for me, all of that is true. But I also have a problem when it comes to literally anything else I could buy. I am the definition of someone that their money literally burns a hole in my pocket.

I'm so so guilty of it. Shopping makes me happy, what can I say. It's comforting to me and my go to when I'm upset. And quite honestly, it always cheers me up.

Although this may be a problem in the future if I don't become a fashion editor of a high fashion magazine when I'm older like I'm intending, right now, being a shopaholic is workin' for me.

SO, I thought I would share my absolute favorite online stores that are the first websites I visit on Friday mornings when I get paid. (This is going to be all clothing sites, I'll do my 'others' lists later on, so keep posted!)

First, my all time favorite -
http://www.charlotterusse.com/
I know you're probably all thinking "Really? Charlotte Russe?" But I can't help myself. I love their sunglasses, shoes, dresses, shorts, everything. Everything in the store is correct to size and fits me perfectly. I cannot walk into this store and not buy a million things. Also, their nailpolish colors are to die for. So all in all, it's probably a good thing that it is an hour trip to get there. (That is where online shopping comes into play.)
pricing - affordable

http://www.iloveshowpo.com/
This is a new find, I have yet to order anything from it but I actually want everything on the website. It is ALL so boho &/or chic. I'm in love and I really wish I wasn't trying to save my money right now because...oh my lawdy I need it all. Whether it's the playsuits, two pieces, dresses or winter coats - they all fall under the "I need this in my life" coloumn. Actually made me want it to be 'fall' again....but then I changed my mind because this Florida girl does not enjoy anything under 75.
pricing - a little more on the pricey side but by not much

http://us.sheinside.com/
When I stumbled upon this website I was so pleasantly surprised. They have nice quality items for really cheap! The only thing I would say is before you order, check the sizing charts for every article because it differenciates between products. Other than that, it is true to size and super cute! I actually have this tabbed on my browser I love it so much.
pricing - very affordable

http://www.tobi.com/
I have an obsession with festival type clothing. For living in a state that the lows are 40 during winter, anything loose and minimal but still stylish is ideal.  Everything on this site is affordable and has no shipping! So what you're putting in your cart, is what you're paying.
pricing - affordable

and last but not least,
http://www.missguidedus.com/
I really do love this online store. It is based in Australia so that's why the 'us' is in the name, make sure you go from this link or you're ordering from the US store because you WILL find things that aren't on the US store but are in the Aussie one, vice versa. This site has a lot of really great clothing options from business, casual, dressy, and vacay you really can find things on here that stretch across all of your needs! It's one of my go-to online sites when I'm looking for something specific.
pricing - anywhere from affordable to a tiny bit pricey

Finals Week

Hey guys! I'm sorry I didn't post today, I don't think I posted yesterday either...I could be wrong...But anyway! It's been finals week and on top of that my Mom is in Europe so I've been playing Mommy to my sibilings the past week or so.
They also added on my hours at work - yikes! Other than that handful of a week, I am happy to say that after Monday, I am done! Thank goodness for Summer break (And truly, you can't beat Summer in Florida.)

So although this isn't REALLY a post about anything really, I will be posting a lot more starting Monday or so. :)

I hope you keep checking in! I appreciate everyone that views so so much, you guys are great. I'm aware this post has been an excuse post but I do intend on adding a lot of new features on my blog and I cannot be more excited to see what the month of May has in store for me! I will, of course, keep you guys posted by posting.

Sweet dreams, lovelies. xo
